Fair Time Memories

Indulge in the wild, wonderful, nostalgic celebration of pure Americana

Come Indulge in the wild, wonderful, nostalgic celebration of Americana.

Ride the rollercoaster or a carousel horse, maybe take a turn on tilt wheel, or simply dazzle yourself by the blinking colored lights of the ferris wheel and costumed dancers on stilts. Nibble on cotton candy, candied apples, or buttery popcorn from a wooden cart while listening to prize pigs squealing and cows mooing in the distance. Make memories that will last forever.

Join Virtual NYC Urban Sketchers in yet another sketching adventure capturing the  heart and sizzle of  the American Fairground.

State and county fairs are crowd pleasing annual events, highly anticipated by many Americans particularly in the warmer months when engaging in outdoor festivities and family bonding moments are at its peak. These traditional American entertainment hubs usually entail a melee of competitive and recreational activities such as bucolic staples like food eating and tasting contests, tests of prowess, as well as amusement rides, and live music concerts.

For today's sketching event you can choose to explore America's State and County Fairs and capture their magic using your brush, pen, marker, or medium of choice.
